Parent Language Intervention for Autism
You may be eligible if:
- Your child is between 18 and 48 months of age, has an autism diagnosis or is showing signs of autism, and is not speaking in full sentences yet;
- English is the primary language your child hears;
- Your child’s biological mother is willing to participate in parent training; and
- You live in the Chicagoland area.
You might receive:
- Parent training on language support strategies for your child;
- Therapy sessions in your home;
- Comprehensive language assessments over a period of five months; and
- Compensation for your time.

You may be eligible if:
- Your child is between 1 and 5 years of age; and
- Your child’s parent is willing to participate.
You might receive:
- Useful information about your child’s development; and
- Compensation for your time.
Family Studies of Language in Autism
You may be eligible if:
- You have been diagnosed with autism or fragile X syndrome;
- You do not have autism or fragile X syndrome;
- Your parents, grandparents, or siblings are willing to participate; and
- You live in or are from Iowa.
You might receive:
- Useful information about your or your family members’ development; and
- Compensation for your time and travel.
