Megan Roberts is the Principal Investigator of the Early Intervention Research Group, which examines how best to support early language development in young children with developmental delays. She is also a licensed speech-language pathologist with over ten years of expertise as an early-intervention provider for children with language delays due to conditions like hearing loss, Down syndrome, or autism. This frontline experience with these children and their families exposed gaps in current knowledge, and spurred Dr. Roberts to study family-centered early communication interventions for language-delayed children.
Dr. Roberts earned her B.A. at the University of Rochester, her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Emerson College, and her Ph.D. in Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt University.
